WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 Conference office announced today the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-8. COLORADO’s Arielle Roberson was voted the Pac-12 Player of the Week and OREGON’s Chrishae Rowe was tabbed the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

Sophomore forward Arielle Roberson (San Antonio, Texas) recorded double-doubles in two Colorado wins last week, as the Buffs extending their regular-season win streak over non-conference opponents to 32 games. Roberson had 13 points and a team season-high 12 rebounds, eight on the offensive boards, in the road win at Wyoming. She also hit 6-of-15 (.400) from the floor. Roberson tied a season high with 17 points in 24 minutes against Illinois, going 7-of-12 (.583) from the field. She pulled down 10 rebounds for her second-straight double-double and the fifth of her career. Roberson averaged 15.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg, while shooting .481 over the two games.

A freshman guard Chrishae Rowe (Carson, Calif.) helped Oregon rewrite the record books, again this season, this time breaking the Oregon single-game scoring record with 41 points in the Ducks’ 105-100 win at Seattle University last week, the Ducks’ lone game of the week. Rowe knocked down 14 of her 25 field goal attempts, including 6-of-8 three-pointers, en route to the 40-point outing, the 23rd time in Pac-12 history a player has scored at least 40 points. The 41 points are also tied for the third-most in the country this season. Rowe scored five points in Oregon’s decisive 10-2 run in the final minutes to pull away for the win, which improved the Ducks to 5-2 on the season, already besting their four wins from a season ago. Rowe broke the school record of 38, set by five different Ducks, most recently by Jillian Alleyne last year against Portland State.

It is Roberson’s first-career player of the week honor and Colorado’s fourth since joining the Conference in 2011-12. Roberson was a five-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week last year.

A player of the week has been selected every week since 1986-87, the first year the Conference sponsored women’s sports. A freshman of the week was first selected in 2012-13.

The Buffs have just one game scheduled this week, hosting rival-Denver on Thursday, Dec. 12. The Ducks have been off since Dec. 4 and will return to action later this week on Saturday, Dec. 14 against Portland State.
