Cal Checks In at No. 24 in ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Top 25

OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of California softball team checks in at No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Preseason Poll, matching the preseason ranking released last Tuesday by the NFCA. Tennessee, Oklahoma and Florida claim the top three rankings.

 

As in the NFCA poll, the Bears are one of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the top 25, with three conference teams in the top 10. Washington checks in at No. 5, followed by Arizona State (7), Oregon (8), UCLA (13) and Stanford (20). Arizona and Oregon State received votes toward the poll.

Cal’s preseason opponents Texas A&M (No. 11) and Baylor (16) were also ranked in the top 25.
