Baseball Ranked Third By Coaches

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The top five rankings continue to pile up for the Oregon State baseball team, which finds itself third in the nation according to the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Beavers are one of five Pac-12 Conference schools in the top 25, and the highest ranked. It’s the team’s fourth top 25 ranking of the preseason as Baseball America has OSU second, Perfect Game USA also has the Beavers third and Collegiate Baseball has slotted the club fourth.

The team’s No. 2 ranking by Baseball America is its best ever to open a season.

OSU finished the 2013 season as the unanimous No. 4 team in the country. The Beavers completed the year with a school-record 52 wins and claimed the Pac-12 title with a 24-6 record. Oregon State led the Pac-12 on 15 of a possible 30 dates during the conference season.
