SUN DEVIL DATA: The Sun Devil men's hoops team, averaging 77.3 points in its 17-6/6-4 start, hosts Oregon on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 3 p.m. MT on FOX Sports 1 and 620 AM/98.7 FM. ASU has won four of five (wins vs. Utah, Colorado, at California and Oregon State and a loss at Stanford).

HERE IS ONE FOR YOU: ASU entered this year 6-43 in the previous three years when trailing at the half. It is 3-4 this year with wins over UNLV, Utah and Oregon State.

EXTRA: If the game goes extra innings ASU has now won six of its past seven overtime games after the win at Cal and vs. Oregon State Thursday. ASU is 12-5 in overtime under Coach Sendek in his eight years.

MARSHALL, MARSHALL, MARSHALL: In the past three games Jermaine Marshall is averaging 23 points, 40.3 minutes, is 23-of-41 from the floor (.561), 12-of-23 from the three-point stripe (.522) and 11-of-15 (.733) from the free throw line.

WORTH A MENTION: Jordan Bachynski, who now is the Pac-12 career record holder with 279 blocks entered Pac-12 play this season a career .566 FT shooter (180-of-318). In Pac-12 games this year he is shooting 36-of-45 (.800) from the line.

1. 279 – Jordan Bachynski (Arizona State), ’10-present
2. 278 – Anthony Cook (Arizona), ’85-89

LINEUP CHANGE: ASU shook things up a little when it started Eric Jacobsen (one career start prior) vs. Utah on Jan. 23 and bring Jon Gilling off the bench…ASU has won four of five since…Giling, who had started 71 straight games,  is 10-of-21 (.476) from three and 12-of-25 (.480) from the floor and averaging 8.2 points/4.4 boards…Jacobsen is averaging 4.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in those five games (2.1 ppg and 1.7 rpg prior)…ASU was being outrebounded in the first 18 games, but in last five is outrebounding opponents by 6.6 per game.

BIG GAMES: One peek at the ASU schedule shows tons of big opportunities, as ASU has eight conference games left including RPI heavy teams Arizona (2), at Colorado (26), Stanford (37), Oregon (40) twice, California (51), at Oregon State (92) and at Utah (98). ASU does not play the Washington or the LA schools again.

BLOCK-CHYNSKI!: Jordan Bachynski's NCAA-best 98 blocks is more than 243 D-I teams and 13 more than current silver medal blocks guy Khem Birch. He needs just 23 blocks to break his Pac-12 season record of 120 set last year. Next up and sixth on the chart is Taj Gibson who had 100 in 2008-09. Jordan has a double-double in 11 games, after entering the season with five in his first three seasons.

NCAA LEADERS: Jordan Bachynski has a chance to lead the NCAA in blocks. Three Sun Devils have led the NCAA in official categories. Jeff Pendergraph shot 66 percent from the field in 2008-09, Ahlon Lewis averaged 9.19 assists in 1997-98 and Dick Daugherty shot 87.2 percent (75-of-86) from the free throw line in 1953-54. Radio analyst Kyle Dodd can lay claim to the unofficial NCAA record with a 4.73 assist-to-turnover ratio back in 2002-03 (104 assists and 22 turnovers), but the NCAA didn't officially start tracking the statistic until 2007-08.

GREAT ONES DIDN'T DO THIS: Jahii Carson averaged 18.5 points and 5.1 assists last season, the first freshman to do that since Chris McGuthrie of Mount St. Mary's in 1992-93 (19.8/.5.1).

BO KNOWS HOOPS LAST SIX GAMES: After transferring from Hawaii where he made a freshman school record 57 threes in 2010-11, last year Bo Barnes made four shots and had 13 total points in 11 games and 78 minutes. In the past six games he has played 107 minutes (17.8 per game), is 14-of-25 (.560) from the field, 9-of-17 (.529) from three and averaging 7.3 points per game.
