California Announces Play 4Kay Pink Game Promotions

Feb 13, 2014

BERKELEY –Friday night is California’s “Play 4Kay Pink Game” with fans encouraged to wear pink in support of the efforts to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

The Bears will hold a silent auction prior to the game to help the cause. Last year Cal raised $1,795 for the Kay Yow Fund through their silent auction, and this year provides even more opportunities to get involved. The auction will begin when doors open in the Haas Club Room and continue in Section 23 from tip-off until halftime. Winning bids will be accepted via cash or check only.

Auction 1

Each member of the California team has created a custom t-shirt that they will wear during warm-ups. All 12 t-shirts will be available in the auction with bids accepted from pre-game up until halftime.

Auction 2 – PRE-GAME ONLY!

Have you ever wanted to be a Cal Mic Man? Friday is your first opportunity! In this special pre-game only auction, fans bid for the opportunity to be a Mic Man for Friday night’s game against Arizona. The winner and a guest will receive: courtside seats, concessions vouchers and the opportunity to lead cheers on the court alongside Cal’s Mic Men! The starting bid is $75 for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The Cal Fan Experience department will also supply pink pom-poms to the first 1,000 fans and custom Cal Candy Hearts to the first 500 fans. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. at Haas Pavilion!
