Women’s Golf Atop the Leaderboard After 36 Holes

NEW ORLEANS – The second-ranked UCLA women’s golf team was not fazed by the 36-hole day by taking the lead over a talented field after two rounds at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, held at the English Turn Golf Club.
The Bruins hold a four shot lead over rival USC with a 36-hole score of 14-under-par 562 on the par-72 course. UCLA opened the day with a first round 285 (-3) and then closed strong with a second round 277 (-11).
USC enters the final round with a 566 (-10) while No. 18 Florida is the only other squad under par with a 572 (-4).
The Bruins have two of the top three scorers after two rounds. Erynne Lee is tied for first with a 7-under-137. She opened with a 1-under-71 and then fired the lowest score of the day with a 6-under-66. Alison Lee closely follows, tied for third with a score of 4-under-140.
Ani Gulugian and Louise Ridderstrom are tied for 12th after two rounds with a 1-under-143. 
Bronte Law is tied for 32nd with a 2-over-146 while Brittany Mai is tied for 83rd with a 12-over-156.
The final round is set for a shotgun start that will begin at 8 a.m. CT.
