Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament begins Wednesday

• All-Conference honors were announced this morning. Yearly awards include ARIZONA's Nick Johnson as Player of the Year; ARIZONA's Aaron Gordon as Freshman of the Year; ARIZONA STATE's Jordan Bachynski as Defensive Player of the Year; STANFORD's Anthony Brown as Most Improved Player of the Year; and ARIZONA's Sean Miller as the John Wooden Coach of the Year. 

• The Pac-12 is fourth in the Sagarin conference ratings thanks in large part to eight league teams listed among the top 60. Seven Pac-12 teams were among the top 55 in the latest NCAA RPI (see page 5 for Pac-12 rankings). No other conference has more teams ranked in the NCAA RPI top 55 than the Pac-12.

• The Pac-12 posted a non-conference record of 119-32 (.788), with a home record in non-league games at 94-6 (.940). . . In league play, home teams were 72-36 (.667) in Pac-12 play. . . ARIZONA was perfect at home this season, posting a 18-0 mark. The Wildcats have won 21 straight in McKale Center. . . One other team had just one blemish on its home court record this season - ARIZONA STATE (16-1).

• The Pac-12 Women crowned their Tournament champion Sunday evening as USC defeated Oregon State, 71-62. The No. 5-seeded Women of Troy pulled off the challenging feat of winning four straight games to claim its first tournament title.
