Women?s Golf Heads to Hawaii

THIS WEEK

The Washington State women’s golf team heads to Kaneohe, Hawaii for the 29th annual Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on March 11-12, 2014…shot gun start at 8 a.m. both days of the tournament…last year at the tournament WSU finished fifth overall (+50, 914) and current senior, Mallory Kent, was the top finisher for the Cougars placing fifth (+3, 219).

THE COURSE

The tournament will be held at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course…track will play at par-72 and 5,907-yards for the tournament.

THE FIELD

Joining Washington State in the tournament field of 15 teams will be Columbia, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Hawaii – Hilo, Idaho, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, North Texas, Osaka Gakuin (Japan), Southern Methodist, Texas Christian, and UTEP.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE

Competing for the Cougar women will be Mallory Kent, Kristen Rue, Rachel Lewis, Monica Huang, and Nani Yanagi. Cherokee Kim will also compete for the Cougars an individual.
