Pac-12 sells out final four sessions of Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament
Las Vegas, Nev. – The Pac-12 Conference announced today that both sessions on Thursday (sessions 3 and 4) and the two final sessions on Friday and Saturday are sellouts. This week’s tournament marks the second year the Conference has held its postseason tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas after signing a three-year contract in 2012.
“We are thrilled by the turnout of Pac-12 fans this week,” said Pac-12 Chief Marketing Officer Danette Leighton. “From the first game on Wednesday, the MGM Grand Garden Arena has been electric. Our deserving student-athletes are playing in front of great crowds and our fans are being treated to an incredible collegiate atmosphere.”
Four teams remain in the tournament heading into Friday night’s semifinals. No. 1 seed and Pac-12 regular season champion Arizona faces No. 5 seed Colorado in the first semifinal, followed by No. 2 seed UCLA facing No. 6 Stanford. The championship and the Conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament will be determined on Saturday at 3 p.m. PT.
