Roundup: Extra motivation for ASU spring game

We got some more spring football for ya on Saturday, and the fun begins in Tempe. It’s always good to have a little fun with these things, and there is a new twist in this year’s Arizona State spring game: The winning team gets steak, the losing team gets tuna. It starts at 11 a.m. PT and is, of course, televised on the Pac-12 Arizona.

Utah’s spring game is at noon PT Saturday (Pac-12 Mountain), but since Utah gymnastics is competing in the NCAA championships, we will tell you that Utah gymnast and Pac-12 all-around champ Tory Wilson and others have a shot at individual titles. Stanford and UCLA are also in the mix at the NCAAs.

U-Dub is up next at 1 p.m. (Pac-12 Washington), and Deontae Cooper feels good after a long history of battling injuries.

USC has the last spring game of this Saturday's slate at 3 p.m., and Kevin Gemmell writes that Steve Sarkisian is embracing expectations, which is a good thing because expectations are always high in Troy.

Although Kyle Anderson and Zach LaVine have declared for the NBA Draft, Jordan Adams is returning for his junior season. Big, big news for the Bru Cru.
