MARANA, Ariz. – An expected long day of the first two rounds of the Pac-12 Championship was so long that it was suspended due to darkness with nine of the 12 teams still on the course, including the Oregon State men’s golf team, on Friday.

The Beavers shot a 13-over 373 in the morning and were 7 over in the afternoon at the par-72, 7,349-yard Gallery Golf Club when play was stopped. OSU is tied for fifth in the six-count-five format of the three-day, 72-hole tournament, and the second round will resume at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Juniors Alex Franklin and Scott Kim each shot an even-par 72 in the morning to lead Oregon State. Senior David Fink is 1 under through 12 holes in his afternoon round.

After the second round is concluded on Friday there will be an hour break for course work and to set the pairings for the third round, which will be played on Saturday. The final round is slated for Sunday.
