Men’s Golf In Ninth Through 54 Holes at Pac-12’s
MARANA, Ariz. – Severe weather conditions took its toll on the Oregon State men’s golf team at the Pac-12 Championship on Saturday, as the Beavers shot a 34-over 394 and slipped to ninth place at the three-day, 72-hole tournament, which concludes on Sunday.
The first two rounds were slated for Friday but the second 18 was suspended due to darkness. The Beavers got up early and posted their best round thus far in the tourney, a 6-over 366, to put them in a tie for fourth place. They were unable to find the same results in the third round and now sit in ninth place with a 53-over 373-366-394--1,133 with 18 holes to play.
The final round of the six-count-five format will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday with tee times off the first and 10th holes. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.

Junior Alex Franklin is tied for 26th place with an 8-over 72-75-77--224, while junior Scott Kim and sophomore Brian Jung are both tied for 28th with Kim posting a 9-over 72-74-79--225 and Jung carding a 9-over 74-72-79 at the par-72, 7,349-yard Gallery Golf Club.
Stanford has built a commanding 21-stroke lead with a 3-over 1,083 with California in second with a 24-over 1,104 and Washington in third with a 27-over 1,107. Only three golfers are under par through 54 holes led by Patrick Rodgers of Stanford who has a 7-under 209 for a five-stroke lead over Paul Smith of USC and six strokes better than Washington’s Cheng-Tsung Pan.
The best action from all three days of the Pac-12 Championship will be packed into one hour at 11 a.m. PT on Sunday, May 11 on the Pac-12 Networks and online via Pac-12 Now.
