Woo Leads Oregon Heading into Final Round of Pac-12s
MARANA, Ore. – The Gallery Golf Club proved to be difficult once again for the Oregon men’s golf team on Saturday at the Pac-12 Championship. The Ducks shot a 376 29-over card today at the Gallery Golf Club and sits in 10th-place heading into the final round.
Jonathan Woo had the best card for the Ducks today, shooting even par on the third round. The junior fired in back-to-back bogey’s on the 12th and 13th-hole on the back-nine before sinking a pair of birdies on the front nine.
Stanford is in first with a 367 7-over card today, holding a substantial lead over second-place California who carded a 382 22-over card today. The Cardinal’s Patrick Rodgers fired in a 73 1-over card today and holds a firm five-stroke lead over his nearest competitor in Paul Smith of USC who is 2-under at the tournament.
Woo’s 72 card today puts him in a tie for eighth-place heading into the final round on Sunday at 3-over. Zach Foushee who fired in a 78 6-over card today is in a tie for 19th heading into Sunday’s final round at the Pac-12 Championship.
Brandon McIver had a rough time on the back-nine thanks to a bogey, double-bogey and triple bogey. McIver however was able to shoot even par on the front nine and finish with a 77 5-over card.
After a much better second round, Lim had his hands full once again in the third round. The freshman was solid on the back-nine firing in only one bogey. The front-nine however proved much more difficult for Lim, as he finished with an 80 8-over score for the day.
The Ducks look to move up the leaderboard on Sunday, April 27, for the final day of the Pac-12 Championship at the Gallery Golf Club. UO is set to tee off at 8:30 a.m. (PDT) along with Washington State and Utah.
