WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — UCLA freshman Alison Lee has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for April, the Pac-12 announced Friday.
Lee, from Valencia, Calif., has enjoyed an outstanding rookie campaign. According to Golfstat, she is currently ranked first in the country. She was a consistent counter all year, as her three individual wins helped to lead UCLA to three team wins.
Lee’s biggest accomplishment came most recently when she took home individual medalist honors at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships in Corvallis, Ore. She posted a 54-hole total of 211 (-5) to win by three shots.
In 27 collegiate rounds this season, she is 33-under par and has a counter percentage of 100%. She has finished in the top 10 in eight out of nine starts. Competing as an amateur, Lee finished in a tie for 26th place at LPGA's Kraft Nabisco Championship, playing the final two rounds in two-under par.
UCLA is currently ranked No. 2 in the latest Golfweek national rankings.
Lee was also awarded Pac-12 Golfer of the Month in September.
