CORVALLIS, Ore. Nine games against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, seven televised matches on the Pac-12 Networks and road trips to Texas and Florida highlight the 2014 Oregon State women’s soccer schedule as announced by head coach Linus Rhode on Wednesday.

The 2014 schedule includes 20 matches with four of them against teams that finished in the top 25 in last season’s final NSCAA Coaches poll -- No. 1 and defending national champion UCLA, No. 9 Stanford, No. 11 Portland and No. 22 UCF.

The Beavers will begin their regular season on Friday, Aug. 22 against Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas and stay in the Lone Star State for a match against North Texas in Denton on Sunday, Aug. 24. It will be Oregon State’s first-ever meeting against both schools.

After the road trip to open the season, OSU will return home for a four-match homestand beginning with a visit by Loyola Marymount on Friday, Aug. 29. The Beavers will be featured on the Pac-12 Networks for the first time in 2014 when they host Saint Mary’s at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31. The following weekend features visits by Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Sept. 5 and Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Oregon State is 2-1 all-time against Loyola Marymount with the most recent game being played in 2009 when the Beavers won in a neutral site contest in Eugene. OSU is 3-0 all-time against Cal State Fullerton, with wins in 1994, 1998 and 2012, and has never played Eastern Michigan.

The Beavers will hit the road in mid-September to face Florida International in Miami on Friday, Sept. 12 and UCF in Orlando on Sunday, Sept. 14. Oregon State knocked off Florida International, 7-0, in 2011 at Paul Lorenz Field in their only other meeting and will face UCF for the first time in school history.

A home match on Friday, Sept. 19 against Portland closes out the regular season for the Beavers, who defeated the Pilots in their most recent meeting, 1-0, in 2012 in the Rose City.

Pac-12 play begins with a televised home tilt against Washington State on Friday, Sept. 26 before the Beavs hit the road to battle Arizona in Tucson on Friday, Oct. 3 and Arizona State in Tempe on Sunday, Oct. 5. Four of the next six games will be at Paul Lorenz Field, including visits by Colorado on Friday, Oct. 10, Utah on Sunday, Oct. 12, UCLA on Friday, Oct. 24 and USC on Sunday, Oct. 26.

The Beavers will play Washington in Seattle on Friday, Oct. 17 and have their final three regular-season matches on the road with visits to California on Halloween, Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 7 and Oregon on Friday, Nov. 7.

The contests against the Cougars, Wildcats, Buffaloes, Huskies, Cardinal and Ducks will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Pac-12 Networks announced its women’s soccer schedule on Wednesday, which features 69 live televised contests. Women’s soccer is the marquee event on the Networks’ telecast schedule Friday and Sunday afternoons during the fall with additional primetime matchups on Monday and Thursday.
