T&F?s McBride Matches High Jump PR At USATF Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Arizona State track and field’s junior Bryan McBride matched his lifetime best in the high jump as he cleared 2.28m (7-5.75) on Saturday at the USATF Outdoor Championships at Hornet Stadium.

McBride (Peoria, Ariz.) placed fourth in the competition, while Nike’s Erik Kynard won the event with a clearance at 2.35m (7-8.50).

Former Sun Devil Chelsea Cassulo competed in the hammer throw competition, and threw 61.53m (201-10) to place 12th overall.

Junior Shelby Houlihan (Sioux City, Iowa) will be the lone ASU competitor in action on Sunday as she competes in the 800m finals, which is set to start at 1:30 p.m. PT.
