Record Book 

• Pac-12 women’s soccer teams saw an outstanding opening weekend, going 14-4-4 in the first week of the season. Two teams had wins over top-25 ranked opponents, including STANFORD, which shut out both No. 4 North Carolina and No. 18 Duke. CALIFORNIA had a big upset victory, defeating in-state rival and 10th-ranked Santa Clara in overtime, 2-1. 

• Three league teams are ranked in this week’s NSCAA poll. UCLA remains at the top of the standings after opening the season with two shutout wins over Maryland and UC Irvine, and Stanford’s decisive victories helped the Cardinal move up to fifth in the rankings. CALIFORNIA, which received votes in the preseason poll, broke into the top 25 and sits at 21st with 119 points. Colorado and WASHINGTON received votes. 

• ARIZONA STATE’s Aly Moon is the first Offensive Player of the Week for the Conference, while UCLA’s Megan Oyster took home the first Defensive Player of the Week award of the year. Stanford’s Jane Campbell was tabbed as Goalkeeper of the Week. 

• National recognition is already pouring in, as five Pac-12 student-athletes were named to’s Women’s DI Team of the Week, including Stanford’s Maddie Bauer who was named the Player of the Week by the publication. Other players on the list include fellow Cardinal Kendall Romine, UCLA’s Sam Mewis, Cal’s Lorin Hom and ASU’s Aly Moon.

• The Pac-12 once again boasts some of the best women’s soccer talent on the West Coast, as six players from the Conference were named to the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list. UCLA had a national-best four honorees on the list, while STANFORD had two. 

• This season, Pac-12 women’s soccer will receive unprecedented coverage with 69 games set to be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks, including 27 non-conference games to begin the year. For more information, including a complete TV schedule, visit
