Connor Halliday lights up the scoreboard in loss

Aug 28, 2014

The return of college football means the return of watching Connor Halliday chuck it 350-plus times a game. Washington State and its quarterback have become known for one thing under Mike Leach: throwing the darn thing all over the place.

Thursday night’s contest with Rutgers was no different. Although the Cougars lost a 41-38 heartbreaker to the Scarlet Knights, there were plenty of highlights produced by the Crimson-and-Gray gunslinger. Watch the video above to admire Halliday’s work.

Halliday got off to a slow start but REALLY got into a groove as the game went on. By the end of the night, the fifth-year senior was 40-56 for 532 yards and five touchdowns against one interception.
