Video: Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson runs for first touchdown of career
Washington’s Shaq Thompson showed on Saturday that Myles Jack is not the only Pac-12 linebacker who can bust touchdown runs.
Thompson dashed for a 57-yard touchdown to stretch Washington’s lead to 21-0 in the first quarter of the Huskies' 59-52 win over Eastern Washington as seen on Pac-12 Networks.
Thompson, who starred on offense at Grant High School in Sacramento, had been getting carries at running back in spring and fall practice. But Saturday was the first time he stepped in at running back during a regular-season game. He quickly made his presence felt with the touchdown run featured above, on the just the third carry of his career.
