Cal’s Pac-12 Schedule and Game Times Announced
BERKELEY – For the second time in the last three years, every regular-season California men’s basketball game will be televised. The Pac-12 Conference announced the league’s schedule along with game times and television information on Monday evening.
The Golden Bears, who saw each of their 30-game 2012-13 regular-season slate televised, will have an unprecedented 31 regular-season games televised this season. All 31 games will air nationally with Cal making eight appearances on the ESPN family of networks, three broadcasts on FOX Sports 1, two on CBS Sports Network and 18 appearances on the Pac-12 Networks. Select games on the Pac-12 Networks may air on one of the outlet’s regional channels, however will be available to a national audience online through Pac-12.com and through the Pac-12 Now app.
Cal will officially usher in the Cuonzo Martin era on Friday Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. PT against Alcorn State on the Pac-12 Networks. Highlighting the Golden Bears’ non-conference home slate will be a visit from 2014 Final Four participant Wisconsin on Dec. 22. The game will tip-off at 6 p.m. PT and air nationally on ESPN2 as part of ESPN’s Big Monday. Cal will also play Syracuse (6 p.m. PT) and either Iowa or Texas (2 or 4 p.m. PT) on the ESPN family of networks Nov. 20 and 21, respectively, at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.
The Bears open the Pac-12 season at home on Friday, Jan. 2 against Washington at 7 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
Cal’s first conference road trip finds the Bears in Los Angeles, facing USC on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. PT on ESPNU and UCLA on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 4:30 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1.
The first meeting of the year between Cal and Stanford will take place at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 with an 8 p.m. PT tip-off on ESPNU. The Stanford contest begins a three-game homestand for the Bears, who host Arizona State Thursday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. PT and Arizona, Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. PT. Both games will air on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Los Angeles schools make the trip to Berkeley in early February, with the USC game on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1 and the UCLA game on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
Five of the Bears’ final seven games will be on the road, including a trip to Stanford on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks. Cal closes the regular season in the Grand Canyon State with a trip to Tucson to face Arizona on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. PT on either ESPN or ESPN2 and a meeting with Arizona State in Tempe on Saturday, March 7 at 11:30 a.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
Senior Day in Berkeley is set for Sunday, March 1 against Oregon State at noon PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
Cal’s Nov. 6 exhibition contest against Cal State San Marcos will also be televised with a 7:30 p.m. PT tip-off slated to air on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Golden Bears’ first exhibition game on Oct. 31 against Cal State East Bay is FREE to the public. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
