Mannion Breaks OSU Passing Record

CORVALLIS - Senior quarterback Sean Mannion became Oregon State all-time passing leader on Saturday night by moving ahead of Derek Anderson (2001-04) in the third quarter of OSU’s game with San Diego State at Reser Stadium.

Mannion completed a 27-yard pass to Hunter Jarmon with 11:20 left in the second quarter to increase his all-time yardage to 11,263 yards. Now with the Carolina Panthers, Anderson threw for 11,249 yards in his OSU career.

Mannion now ranks third on the all-time Pacific-12 Conference list. USC’s Matt Barkley (2009-12) is the career leader with 12,274 yards; USC’s Carson Palmer (1998-2002) is second with 11,818.
