Beavers Announce Conference and TV Schedules

Sep 22, 2014

CORVALLIS, Ore. – All 18 of Oregon State women’s basketball’s 2014-15 conference games will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, the conference office announced today as part of the Pac-12 women’s basketball schedule release. The 18 TV appearances are six more than the Beavers had during the 2013-14 regular season.

Oregon State will open the conference campaign by making a trip to Los Angeles, for a matchup with UCLA on Jan. 3. The Beavers will follow that up by taking on USC on Monday Jan. 5, in a rematch of last season’s Pac-12 Championship game.

Oregon State will make its home conference debut on Friday, Jan. 9, when it hosts Oregon in the Civil War presented by PacificSource Health Plans, The Oregon 529 College Savings Network, McDonalds, Spirit Mountain Casino and Your Local Ford Stores. The second leg of the Civil War series is slated for Jan. 11 in Eugene. The Beavers are 7-1 against the Ducks under head coach Scott Rueck, and have won seven-straight Civil War contests in a stretch that dates back to 2011.

The Orange and Black will return home on Friday Jan. 16 to take on Washington State. The Beavers hold a 49-28 all-time record against the Cougars, including a mark of 26-9 at Gill Coliseum. Oregon State topped Washington State in all three of the teams’ meetings in 2013-14, including a 70-60 victory in the Pac-12 Tournament. The Beavers will wrap-up the weekend by taking on Washington on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 19).

Oregon State makes a trip down to the Grand Canyon State to take on the Arizona schools on Jan. 23 and 25. The Beavers open the weekend with the Wildcats, after sweeping Arizona in 2013-14. The road-swing will conclude with a Sunday contest against the Sun Devils.

OSU is set close out the month of January at Gill Coliseum, as it hosts USC on Jan. 31. The Beavers will then welcome in February by facing UCLA on Feb. 2.

The Beavers’ return trip to Washington comes in the form of a Friday-Sunday swing, which begins with a showdown with the Huskies on Feb. 6, and concludes with a matchup against the Cougars on Feb. 8.

The Orange and Black will celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend with a pair of home contests, as OSU hosts Arizona State and Arizona on Feb. 13 and 15, respectively.

The Beavers head east for their final Pac-12 road swing of the season, as they make their way to the Rockies to take on Colorado and Utah on Feb. 20 and 22. OSU beat both Rocky Mountain foes at Gill Coliseum last year, and held Utah to just 35 points as it topped the Utes in the first round of the conference tournament.

Oregon State will close out the 2014-15 regular season with its only matchups with the Bay Area schools. Stanford will take the floor at Gill Coliseum on Thursday Feb. 26, before California comes to Corvallis for a matchup on Feb. 28.

The Pac-12 Tournament will begin on Thursday, March 5 in Seattle, Wash.

Oregon State announced its nonconference schedule in August. The challenging slate includes road games against North Carolina (Dec. 16) and Tennessee (Dec. 28), as well as tournaments in Hawaii (Nov. 27-29) and New Orleans (Dec. 19-20).

The Beavers will open the 2014-15 season at Gill Coliseum on Nov. 14, when they take on Portland.
