Oregon State alums in the National Football League had solid contributions to their respective teams this past week. Here is a roundup of how the Beavers in the NFL fared:

DEREK ANDERSON (2001-04), CAROLINA: Derek was 5-for-6 for 80 yards and a touchdown in relief of starter Cam Newton in a 37-19 loss to Pittsburgh.

BRANDON BROWNER (2002-03), NEW ENGLAND: The cornerback is suspended for the first four games of the season.

BRANDIN COOKS (2011-13), NEW ORLEANS: The 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner had eight receptions for 74 yards, with a long of 19 yards, in a 20-9 win over Minnesota.

SCOTT CRICHTON (2011-13), MINNESOTA: The rookie defensive end was not active for Minnesota’s 20-9 loss to New Orleans.

DWAN EDWARDS (2000-03), CAROLINA: The defensive tackle had one tackle and one tackle assist in a 37-19 loss to Pittsburgh.

JOHNNY HEKKER (2008-11), ST. LOUIS: Hekker had one punt for 24 yards and dropped it inside the 20-yard line in a 34-31 loss to Dallas.

STEVEN JACKSON (2001-03), ATLANTA: The NFL’s leading active rusher with 10,833 career yards, Jackson gained 54 yards on 11 carries and had one touchdown in a 56-14 win over Tampa Bay this past Thursday.

ANDY LEVITRE (2005-08), TENNESSEE: Andy started at left guard for the Titans in a 33-7 loss to Cincinnati.

KEENAN LEWIS (2005-08), NEW ORLEANS: Keenan had two tackles and one pass defended in a 20-9 win over Minnesota.

GABE MILLER (2007-10), WASHINGTON: The linebacker played but had no stats in a 37-34 loss to Philadelphia.

MATT MOORE (2005-06), MIAMI: The quarterback was active but did not play in a 34-15 loss to Kansas City.

STEPHEN PAEA (2008-10), CHICAGO: The former Morris Trophy winner plays against the New York Giants tonight on Monday Night Football.

JORDAN POYER (20009-12), CLEVELAND: The former All-American cornerback had one tackle in a 23-21 loss to Baltimore.

JACQUIZZ RODGERS (2008-10), ATLANTA: Quizz had five carries for six yards and one reception for three yards on a 56-14 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

MARKUS WHEATON (2009-12), PITTSBURGH: The wide receiver had four catches for 34 yards, with a long play of 15 yards, in a 37-19 win over Carolina.

NOT ACTIVE: OL Josh Andrews (2010-13), Philadelphia; OL Mike Remmers (2008-11), Minnesota; CB Rashaad Reynolds (2010-13), Jacksonville (on injured reserve).
