Back In Camp: 2014 California Women's Basketball

BERKELEY – California’s 2014-15 campaign officially began Tuesday afternoon with the first practice of the season at Haas Pavilion.

All 10 Golden Bears got together for a spirited practice as Cal looks to make a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament under fourth-year head coach Lindsay Gottlieb. The seven returning players were joined by freshmen Mikayla Cowling, Gabby Green and Penina Davidson, and fans will be able to meet the Bears and watch them practice this Sunday beginning at 12:45 p.m. at our open practice and Tip-Off Events. “It was great,” senior and All-American candidate Reshanda Gray said of the practice. “It felt really good to finally be together on the court as a team. I saw a lot of potential in us. We still have a lot to learn, but it’s only the first day of practice.”

California opens the season with an exhibition against Vanguard on Friday, Nov. 1 at 8:30 p.m. The 2013-14 season officially gets underway against Long Beach State on November 10.
