OSU Softball Unveils 2015 Schedule
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team and head coach Laura Berg have announced a 54-game schedule for 2015, including 24 games against 11 opponents who made the 2014 NCAA tournament. The Beavers will play five tournaments before Pac-12 play, with trips to Tempe, Ariz., San Diego, Calif., Palm Springs, Calif., Fresno, Calif., and Honolulu, Hawaii.
OSU will make a fourth straight appearance in the esteemed Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz., starting Thursday, Feb. 5. The team will play six games in four days, facing Ole Miss, University of the Pacific, Indiana, Wisconsin, Nevada and Cal Poly.
The next weekend the Beavers travel to San Diego to compete in the Campbell Cartier softball tournament, playing five games in three days. OSU will play North Dakota State twice during the weekend and will also play Central Michigan, San Diego State, and Seton Hall.
The following weekend the Beavers will take part in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, with the team playing five games over the three days. The Beavers will play Kentucky, Cal Poly, Nevada, BYU and Nebraska.
The Beavers will finish February and start March in Fresno. OSU will play St. Mary’s and UC Santa Barbara twice, Fresno State and Rutgers.
OSU finishes the tournament portion of the schedule with a trip to Honolulu for five games over four days starting March 4 when the team takes on Longwood University. The Beavers will play two games each against host Hawaii and East Carolina.
The Beavers will play eight weekends of Pac-12 games, with four in Corvallis and four on the road. Finalized dates and times for Pac-12 games will be announced at a late time.
OSU starts the Pac-12 season on the road in Eugene playing Oregon (March 13-15). They will host Stanford (March 20-22), followed by playing at Berkeley (March 27-29). They’ll return home for two straight weeks with Arizona (April 3-5) and Utah (April 10-12). They’ll return to the road against Arizona State (April 17-19).
The Beavers will take a break from Pac-12 play and travel north to face Portland State for a double header. (April 21)
The team will return home to play UCLA (April 24-26) before ending Pac-12 play at Washington (May 1-3).
OSU will finish the regular season in San Diego to play two games against San Diego State (May 8-9), making it a total of four games against the Aztecs during the 2015 season.
The Beavers complete their fall schedule this weekend. They face Corban at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday, and play two games against the Oregon Ducks at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
