Oregon State kicker Trevor Romaine has a roller coaster night

Oct 16, 2014

With time expiring in the first half, Oregon State kicker Trevor Romaine clanked a 45-yard field goal try off the left upright...but wait! Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham called a timeout just before the snap, meaning Romaine got another shot at it. And he nailed it.

The Beavers and Utes headed into the locker room tied 6-6. You can bet Whittingham was shaking his head the whole way.

This Thursday night showdown was sent to overtime thanks to a 49-yard game tying field goal by Romaine as time expired in regulation.

Romaine didn't need two tries to nail that one.

It would all come crashing down for the Beaver senior, though, as his 37-yard attempt in double-overtime sailed wide and opened the door for Devontae Booker's game-winning 19-yard touchdown run.
