Bowling, Parks Throw No-Hitter, Cats Win 18-0

Tucson, Ariz. – Junior Nancy Bowling earned the win after throwing three hitless innings against Paradise Valley Community College, and freshman Trish Parks followed suit by throwing two hitless innings as Arizona won 18-0.

Junior Siera Phillips got things going offensively for the Wildcats in the second inning after she doubled home senior Chelsea Suitos and freshman Trish Parks to take a 2-0 lead.

Arizona never looked back as senior Chelsea Goodacre hit a solo home run and Suitos drove home a run with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0 in the third inning.

The bats came alive in the fourth inning as Arizona put up a scalding 14 runs on the board. Arizona finished the night with 18 runs and 18 hits.

Kellie Fox led the Wildcats with three RBIs on the night while Eva Watson, Alexis Dotson, Aireal Sakasegawa and Siera Phillips each added 2 RBIs.

The Wildcats are back in action at the Fall Invitational tomorrow morning as they take on Arizona Western at 11:00 a.m. MST and Central Arizona at 1:00 p.m. MST.
