Egger and Hawke Fall in Doubles Semifinals at USTA/ITA NW Championships

STANFORD - UW's nationally-ranked doubles duo of seniors Emmett Egger and Jeff Hawke ended their run at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Monday as they fell 7-6(7); 3-6; 1-0(7) to California's Oskar Wikberg and Andre Foransson. 

Egger and Hawke picked up wins over a pair of Pac-12 opponents in Oregon's Daniel Sardu and Joey Swaysland and California's Filip Bergevi and Mads Engsted to earn a spot in this year's semifinals. 

The second-seeded pair advanced to the semifinals for the second-straight year after earning a spot in the finals a year ago.

Up next for the Huskies is the Nordstrom Open on November 7.
