Captain Grimes

STANFORD, Calif. – Patrick Grimes was voted team captain for the 2014-15 season by his Stanford men’s golf teammates, as announced Thursday by Knowles Family Director of Men’s Golf Conrad Ray.

Grimes, a senior psychology major from Palo Alto, Calif., grew up attending golf camp at Stanford and prepped at nearby Menlo School.

“We are excited to announce that Patrick Grimes will be our team captain for the 2014-15 season, as voted on by his peers,” Ray said. “His leadership will be important for us as our lone senior on the roster amongst a number of underclassmen. Patrick has garnered a great deal of experience over the last few years and knows the ins and outs of being a successful student-athlete at Stanford. He will also be a great representative of our squad in the way he handles himself on and off the course.  Patrick will do a great job for this team.”

Grimes and the Stanford squad return to the course for the Gifford Collegiate (Nov. 3-5) in San Martin, Calif.
