Cats Head to Landfall Tradition

TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona women’s golf is headed to Wilmington, N.C. for the Landfall Tradition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-26. The event is hosted by UNCW at Country Club of Landfall (6,159 yards, par 72).

Arizona is set to tee off on Friday at 7:09 a.m. MST/10:09 EST with No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 4 Duke. Day two of the tournament will start at 5:30 a.m. MST/8:30 EST on Saturday, and the final round on Sunday will be a shotgun start, beginning at 5:45 a.m. MST/8:45 a.m. EST.

Arizona’s lineup will include senior Manon Gidali, senior Kendall Prince, junior Lindsey Weaver, sophomore Jessica Vasilic and sophomore Wanasa Zhou.

The competing teams are No. 9 Arizona, Alabama, No. 19 UCF, No. 4 Duke, Florida, Michigan State, No. 16 N.C. State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, No. 21 Ohio State, No. 15 Oklahoma State, Penn State, Purdue, No. 1 South Carolina, No. 14 Tennessee, UNCW, No. 18 Virginia and No. 11 Wake Forest.

The Wildcats last competed on Oct. 7, when they earned a fourth-place finish at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. The Wildcats have competed in the Landfall Tradition for the past two years, and tied for a sixth-place finish in 2013.
