Cougar Men’s Basketball at Pac-12 Media Day
SAN FRANCISCO – First-year head coach, Ernie Kent, and senior guard DaVonté Lacy are representing Washington State men’s basketball at Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Media Day, Thursday.
Among the activities scheduled for the day are various one-on-one interviews, photos, and a group interview session. The media day podium session will be streamed live for free at Pac-12.com/mediadaylive. It will also be font and center on Pac-12.com, as Kent and Lacy take the stage at 10:10 a.m. The Pac-12 Networks will also have a media day special from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on all seven Pac-12 Networks. All 12 coaches and student-athletes will appear on the show. Lacy will appear on the show at 10:50 a.m. and Kent will be on at 12:25 p.m.
The Pac-12 Media poll was also announced Thursday morning, as Washington State was picked to finish 11th with 84 points by a group of media members who cover Pac-12 men’s basketball. For the fourth-straight, year, Arizona was picked to finish first with 31 first-place votes and 383 points. Utah was picked second (317 points), Colorado third (316 points), UCLA fourth (290 points) and Stanford fifth (264 points). The rest of the poll has Washington at sixth (189), California seventh (188), Oregon eighth (159), Arizona State ninth (155), USC 10th (106) and Oregon State 12th (45).
The Cougars will host Azusa Pacific in exhibition action, Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum, before opening the season at UTEP, Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. PT.
