Golden Opportunity

STANFORD, Calif. – All eyes will be on San Francisco Bay this weekend when the best collegiate sailors from the West Coast and Hawaii converge on the water of the South Bay for the PCCSC Men’s and Women’s Singlehanded Championships.

On Friday, the Cardinal will look to fifth-year senior Sally Mace and freshman Haley Fox to try to clinch both women’s spots in the Singlehanded National Championship. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, senior captain Kieran Chung and freshman Luke Muller will make their push for the two men’s berths in the Singlehanded National Championship.

Heading into the competition, Sally Mace sat down to talk about the field, the expected conditions and the team’s goals for the weekend.
