Men's Volleyball Takes the Court on Saturday at Galen Center Pavilion
The UCLA men's volleyball team will swing in to action this weekend at the Galen Center Paviion on Saturday, Oct. 25 for the USC Fall Tournament. Head coach John Speraw’s squad will be joined by Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opponents USC, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge and Cal Baptist, plus non-conference foe Grand Canyon.
Admission to the tournament is free. The Galen Center Pavilion is located adjacent to the Galen Center, with the volleyball courts on the upstairs level.
The competition begins at 8 a.m. and ends with 4:45 p.m. matches (see full schedule below). UCLA will play its first match at 9:45 a.m. (court 1) against Grand Canyon. Cal State Northridge will provide the opposition at 11:30 a.m. (court 1). The Bruins and the Trojans will battle on court 1 at 1:15 p.m. UCLA wraps up its day with a 3 p.m. match (court 2) against Long Beach State.
Matches are best of 3 sets, with the first 2 sets to 25 points and the third set to 15 points. If a match is decided after 2 sets, teams may elect to play a non-counting third set.
