Cats Complete Day One at Landfall Tradition
TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s golf completed the first round of the Landfall Tradition on Friday. The event is hosted by UNCW at Country Club of Landfall (6,159 yards, par 72) in Wilmington, N.C.
Arizona ends the first round tied for 12th place with a 293 (+5). Purdue currently sits in first place at 283 (-5). No. 11 Wake Forest is in second with a 286 (-2), and Florida is in third place with a 288 (E).
Senior Manon Gidali led the Wildcats with a score of 69 (-3) and tied for fifth place. She had six birdies on the day. Sophomore Wanasa Zhou ties for 21st place with an even par score of 72, with a birdie and an eagle.
Junior Lindsey Weaver finishes in a tie for 53rd place with a score of 75 (+3). Senior Kendall Prince ties for 63rd place with a score of 77 (+5). Sophomore Jessica Vasilic rounds out the Arizona five with a score of 80 (+8).
Arizona will play 18 more holes tomorrow at the Landfall Tradition and is set to tee off at 6:15 a.m. MST/9:15 EST with South Carolina and N.C. State.
