Skadsen Named Academic All-District Honoree

Tucson, Ariz. – Junior defender Sheaffer Skadsen, a member of the University of Arizona Wildcat soccer team was honored by CoSIDA on Thursday for her outstanding work in the classroom. Skadsen was named to a Capital One Academic All-District soccer team. Skadsen is a member of the NCAA Division I District 8 First Team; she is one of 11 student-athletes on that specific team. There are eight total districts and three teams (Division I, II and III) of 11 student-athletes in each district.

Skadsen, a junior from Vancouver, Wash., boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA and is pursuing a degree in public health. She has scored two goals for the Wildcats on the season, both coming from the penalty spot. Skadsen has also logged the most minutes on the team except for senior goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman.

Skadsen and her Wildcat teammates will return to action on Friday at 12 p.m. MST against the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City.
