All-Bruin Semifinal Set at Southern California Intercollegiates

LOS ANGELES - It will be all-Bruin singles semifinals on Saturday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center, as the UCLA men's tennis team dominated singles play on Friday at the 58th Southern California Intercollegiate Championships. In addition, the Bruins have one team still alive in the semifinal of doubles.

In the top half of the singles draw, No. 1 seed Gage Brymer downed fifth-seeded teammate Joseph Di Giulio, 6-1, 7-6(11) in Friday's quarterfinals. Brymer will take on fourth-seeded Karue Sell on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., as Sell was a 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-4 winner over fifth-seeded Jan Meyer of Azusa Pacific.

In the bottom half of the draw, second-seeded Bruin Dennis Mkrtchian downed teammate Ryoto Tachi, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals. Mkrtchian and Bruin freshman Martin Redlicki, also seeded fifth, will square off for a spot in Sunday's final. Redlicki and Mkrtchian will play at 11:00 a.m.

Redlicki is also in the semifinals of doubles, as he and fellow freshman Austin Rapp will take on UCSD's Alexandre Miaule and Horea Porutiu at 2:30 p.m.
