Ray Falls in Semifinals at Jack Kramer Invitational
LOS ANGELES - Senior Kaitlin Ray fell in the semifinals of singles play at the Jack Kramer Invitational on Saturday, concluding the UCLA women's tennis team's involvement in the event.
Ray, the tournament's fifth seed, lost to unseeded Joana Costa of LSU, 6-3, 6-3. It marked the final tournament match for the Bruins, as Kyle McPhillips, Terri Fleming and Kelly Shaffer all fell in earlier rounds.

John Newcombe Women's Pro Classic
UCLA sophomore Jennifer Brady advanced to the final at the John Newcombe Women's Pro Classic in New Braunfels, Texas on Saturday. Brady, who is taking the fall off to compete as an amateur on the ITF Circuit, downed Japan's Mayo Hibi, 6-4, 6-4. Brady will take on sixth-seeded Irina Falconi of the USA in Sunday's final.
