Travis Feeney helps Washington add to defensive touchdown total

Nov 1, 2014

The Washington Huskies defense isn't only known for forcing turnovers. It's known for making the most of them. The Huskies came into a game against the Colorado Buffaloes tied for first in the Pac-12 with 16 forced turnovers while leading the nation with six defensive touchdowns.

Make that 17 forced turnovers and seven defensive scores on the year.

Seizing opportunities when they presented themselves, the Huskies defense forced four turnovers in a 38-23 win over Colorado. UW forced and recovered three fumbles, then took control of the game with a pick-six by linebacker Travis Feeney that gave Chris Petersen's team a 31-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

However, the Husky defense wasn’t the only unit rolling up turnovers in Boulder. Colorado’s defense forced three fumbles, giving Petersen something to critique heading into next week.
