Cali Farquharson Named to Capital One Academic All-District First Team

TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil soccer junior forward Cali Farquharson was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 8 first team, according to an announcement by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Farquharson (Biological Sciences), who maintains a 3.67 GPA, is currently ASU’s leader in goals (14 – tied for first in the Pac-12), points (31 – tied for third in the Pac-12) and game-winning goals (4 – tied for third in the Pac-12). Most recently, Farquharson scored two goals in Sunday’s win over Utah, her fifth multi-goal game of the season and the 10th of her career.
With the two goals on Sunday, Farquharson tied Stacey Tullock for the second-highest number of goals by a Sun Devil in a single season (14). Farquharson, who now has 34 career goals, moved two goals closer to tying Patrice Feulner (37 goals from 2000-03) for No. 2 on ASU’s all-time list.
The Sun Devils (10-5-4, 3-4-3 Pac-12) close out the regular season portion of their schedule on Friday (2 p.m. MT) when they host Arizona in the annual Territorial Cup® Series contest. The game can be seen live on Pac-12 Networks.
