UCLA Diving Heads to Trojan Invitational

The UCLA diving season gets underway this weekend with a trip across town to USC for the Trojan Diving Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center. The meet begins on Friday with the 3-Meter, continues on Saturday with the 1-Meter and concludes on Sunday with the Platform.

The Bruin quintet of junior Montana Monahan, sophomores Annika Lenz and Danni Repper and freshman Ciara Monahan and Maria Polyakova will each take part in at least two of the three events. On Friday, all five divers will compete in the 3-Meter event featuring 32 divers from nine schools.

On Saturday, Lenz, C.Monahan, Polyakova and Repper will square off in the 1-Meter. The field includes 33 divers from nine schools. On Sunday, Lenz, M.Monahan and Repper will take part in the Platform featuring 25 divers from six schools.

Each day of competition starts at 11 a.m. with the Top 12 making the finals. Other schools competing during the first two days are Azusa Pacific, Boise State, Cal Baptist, Cal Poly, Fresno State, San Diego State, San Jose State and USC. All but Azusa Pacific, Cal Baptist and San Jose State will compete on Sunday.
