CORVALLIS, Ore. – A series of camps run by the Oregon State baseball coaches and staff are on the horizon.
The Beavers will be holding three sets of camps through February. The camps are designed to provide the best possible baseball instruction for players from grades 3-12 of all abilities. Emphasis at the camps is placed upon improving each individual’s skills and knowledge of baseball.
Each camper will receive specific instruction on how to play the game and how to improve himself both on and off the field. Skills and techniques will be improved through individual and small group instruction, drills, and game experience.
The first camp on the horizon is a hitting camp for grades 3-12. It runs Dec. 28-30 and costs $300 per camper.
The second camp is called the “Spring Training Camp” and will take place Jan. 17-18. It’s for grades 3-12 and will focus on infield work day one and hitting on day two. Each day costs $175 but for those who sign up for both, it is a combined $250.
The third and final camp on the schedule is a Pitchers/Catchers Prospect Camp for players in grades 9-12 only. The camp is held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 and costs $300 for camper.
Camps will be held at Oregon State Athletic Facilities, including the Truax Center located near Reser Stadium.
Depending on the camp, campers should bring their own equipment such as glove, cap, batting gloves, baseball shoes, helmet, catching gear, and sneakers.
