LOS ANGELES – Wednesday marked the start of national signing day for the UCLA track and field program. The Bruin signees are featured below.

Angelerne Annelus
Preps at Grandview High School in Grandview, Mo. … The back-to-back state champion in the 100m and 200m … Won the 2014 state title with a time of 11.80 … Defended her 200m title with a personal best time of 24.11 … Was also on the state title winning 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams … Won the 2013 state title in the 100m in a time of 12.21 and won the 200m in 24.80 … Also helped lead the 4x100m to a state championship … Has posted personal bests of 11.79 in the 100m and 24.11 in the 200m.

Jasmine Stauffacher-Gray
Attends North Canyon High School in Phoenix, Arizona ... Has won the Arizona Division I State Meet title in the 400m three years in a row … Placed fifth at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in her second ever 400m hurdle race … This past spring she also won the 300m hurdles at the state meet … She also ran on the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams, helping the 4x400m squad to a seventh place finish … As a sophomore she placed third in the 200m and was on the seventh place 4x400m team on top of her 400m individual title … Has run personal bests of 42.27 in the 300m hurdles, 54.05 in the 400m, 24.57 in the 200m, 12.15 in the 100m, has jumped 18 feet in the long jump and posted a 59.80 in the 400m hurdles.

Suzie Acolatse
Preps at Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, Calif. … Set a CIF San Diego Section Meet Finals record in the 100m with a personal best time of 11.59 … Also won the section title in the 200m with a personal best time of 23.97 … Placed third in the CIF State Championships 100m with a time of 11.67 … Won the CIF San Diego Section in 2013 in the 100m in a time of 11.87.

Rai Benjamin
Attends Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, New York … Was named the Journal News Westchester/Putnam boys outdoor track and field athlete of the year for the 2014 season … Won the New York State Meet in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.86 … Ran a personal best 20.88 in the 200m at the Antigua national championships ... Posted a 37.61 in his only 300m hurdle race of the season, taking third at the Arcadia Invitational … Ran a 21.89 to place fifth at Arcadia in the 200m … Ran a personal best 47.17 to place second at the Loucks Games … Placed second at the New Balance Indoor Nationals 400m with a time of 47.56 … Won the New York State Indoor 300m title with a meet, Section 1, county and school record time of 33.84 … Also won the New York State outdoor title in the 400m in 2013 with a time of 53.13.

Damion Marshall
Preps at Great Oak High School in Temecula, Calif. … Ran a personal best 21.29 to post the seventh fastest 200m in California … Finished third with that time at the CIF-SS Finals … Placed eighth at the State Championship with a time of 21.82 … Posted a 21.48 in the State Prelims … Ran under 21.70 in the 200m five times in 2014 … Also ran a 48.05 in the 400m at the CIF-SS Masters meet to place sixth ... Also plays wide receiver on the football team.

Carlos Suarez
Attends Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, Calif. … Has run 4:20 in the 1,600m and 9:15.61 in the 3,200m … Finished third in the CIF-SS Finals in the 3,200 with that 9:15.61 … Placed third at the Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 9:19.28 … Finished 21st at the CIF State Championships in cross country with a 5k time of 15:46.00.

Arturo Sotomayor
Attends Roseville High School in Roseville, Calif. … Has run personal bests of 1:51.93 in the 800m and 4:14.49 in the 1,600m … Ran 1:51.93 in the 800m in a win at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Finals … Ran his personal best 4:14.49 in the 1,600m to win the Roseville District Cup … Helped the Roseville 4x400m relay team place sixth at the CIF State Championships … Has run 15:52 in the 5K for the cross country team.

Julia Rizk
Attends Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio … Won the OHSAA Division 3 State Championship in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:14.30 … Also finished third at the state meet in the 1,600m with a time of 5:05.87 … Helped the 4x800m relay team place second at the state meet … Won her league and region in both the 800m and 1,600m … Finished second at the 2013 state meet in the 1,600m with a personal best time of 4:59.95.
