Katelyn Rowland Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland from the UCLA women’s soccer team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 10-16.

Rowland broke the NCAA record for career shutouts with the 53rd of her career in UCLA's 5-0 win over San Diego in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. She made three saves in the game to record her school-record 17th shutout of the season and also had an assist on the Bruins' third goal, the first of her career. Rowland has not allowed a goal in eight games and 757 consecutive minutes, new school records. The top-seeded Bruins are on a 42-game unbeaten streak and an eight-game shutout streak and host Harvard in the NCAA second round on Friday, Nov. 21 at 8pm.
