USC Women Regroup In OT To Beat Long Beach State 90-85

Nov 21, 2014

The USC women's basketball team fought through a wildly tense game and prevailed in overtime tonight in Long Beach. Up against host Long Beach State, the Trojans looked to be in control with a strong halftime lead. But the 49ers clawed back into the game and the Trojans had their work cut out for them to force overtime. Once there, USC kept fighting and finally got the buckets to go when it counted in overcoming a two-point deficit to close out OT with seven straight points for the 90-85 road win. USC improves to 2-1 overall with the win and now turns to the Galen Center, where the Trojans set up for their home opener against Fresno State at 2 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 23).
