UCLA Hosts USC at 5pm Tonight in Ultimate Rivalry Game at Rose Bowl

Nov 22, 2014

No. 9 UCLA (8-2, 5-2) returns to the field today to host No. 19 USC (7-3, 6-2) in a crossdown showdown at the Rose Bowl. ABC will televise the Ultimate Rivalry game beginning at 5 pm PT.

A big crowd is expected, so arrive early and consider carpooling or taking the Parsons Shuttle. For more information on getting to and parking at the Rose Bowl, visit RoseBowlStadium.com.

The Bruin IMG Radio Network (Chris Roberts, Matt Stevens and Wayne Cook) will radio broadcast the game on am570 Fox Sports The game can also be heard live on smart phones and tablets via the free TuneIn App. The game will also be broadcast nationally by Westwood One (John Sadak and Chad Brown on the call) and on Sirius 91/ XM 91.

UCLA has won the last two meetings in the series with USC, defeating the Trojans, 35-14, last season in the Coliseum and 38-28 in 2012 in the Rose Bowl, a win that clinched the Pac-12 South for the Bruins. While the Pac-12 South cannot be decided this week, this game will certainly play a big factor in determining who remains in contention. UCLA controls its own destiny and needs wins over USC and Stanford next week to move on to the Pac-12 Football Championship Game against Oregon. A USC victory, coupled with an Arizona State loss to either Washington State today or Arizona next week would send the Trojans to the title game.

The Bruins are well-rested entering today's game, having a bye week last week after their 44-30 win at Washington on Nov. 8. The Trojans last played on Nov. 13, defeating California, 38-30.

UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley broke the school record for career touchdowns in his last game (70 and counting). He now takes aim at another school record previously held by Cade McNown - total offense yards. Hundley currently has 11,025 yards of total offense, just 260 yards away from tying McNown, who had 11,285 from 1995-98.
