•    USBWA Watch Lists: The U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced their watch lists for the Oscar Robertson Trophy for player of the year and the Wayman Tisdale Award for freshman of the year.

•    BREAK OUT THE ATLAS... Pac-12 teams have spread themselves out across North America this week to play in tournaments in the Atlantic (UCLA in the Battle 4 Atlantis), Pacific (ARIZONA in the Maui Inviational) and off the Chickaloon Bay (WASHINGTON STATE in the Great Alaska Shootout). 

•    APPROACHING MILESTONES... CALIFORNIA senior F David Kravish needs 57 points to reach 1,000 points for his career, and seven rebounds to reach 700 career rebounds... STANFORD senior G Chasson Randle has moved up into the Top 50 list of Pac-12’s all-time leading scorers. He’s currently sitting 49th with 1,726 career points. 

•    IT’S EARLY IN THE SEASON, BUT... Nine schools have posted double-digit scoring margins, led by UCLA’s +23.8 margin of victory...The Bruins have scored 100 or more points in two of their four games this season. Last year, they had a total of three games in which they broke the century mark... WASHINGTON STATE sophomore F Josh Hawkinson is averaging a double-double with 15.7ppg/12.0 rpge, as is UCLA freshman F Kevon Looney with 14.8 ppg/12.0 rpg... Demanding perfection - STANFORD’s Chasson Randle and OREGON’s Joseph Young are perfect from the free throw line, shooting 20-of-20 and 18-of-18 respectively from the charity stripe.

•    NCAA TOURNAMENT FUTURE SITES... The NCAA announced preliminary round sites for the 2016-18 NCAA Tournaments. In 2017, UTAH will host 1st/2nd Rounds in the Jon Huntsman Center, while the P12N will host the West Regional in San Jose at the SAP Center. Last week, the NCAA announced that Glendale, Ariz., (University of Phoenix Stadium) will be site of the 2017 Final Four. It’ll be the first western site to host the Final Four since UCLA won the 1995 national title in Seattle.
