SAN FRANCISCO - STANFORD senior guard Chasson Randle has been named Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for play from Dec. 29-Jan. 4, the Conference office announced today in a vote of media who cover Pac-12 men’s basketball.

The Rock Island, Ill., native scored in double figures in all three contests this week, averaging 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. His week was highlighted by becoming Stanford’s all-time leader in career three-point field goals with a bucket from downtown in the second half of the 68-60 overtime win against No. 21 WASHINGTON, where he also made the tying bucket with 2.2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime and collected a game-high 24 points along with three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Randle posted 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal in the 74-39 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff to close out non-conference play. The senior followed with 18 points, two rebounds and an assist in the 71-56 victory over WASHINGTON STATE. He shot a collective 18-for-41, including a 5-for-16 three-point mark and a 12-for-13 mark from the free-throw line.

The honor marks Randle’s second-career weekly award. It is Stanford’s 49th player of the week selection all-time.

Stanford heads south for road matches at UCLA and USC this week. The Cardinal travels to face the Bruins on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN, then to play the Trojans on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. PT on ESPNU.
