Roundup: Washington dismisses Robert Upshaw from team

Washington basketball center Robert Upshaw has been dismissed from the program for a violation of team rules, the school announced Monday. Upshaw was leading the nation in blocks and pacing the team in rebounds.

Oregon State will induct its 2005 baseball team into the school’s hall of fame, it announced Tuesday morning. The Beavs went to the College World Series in 2005 for the first time in 50 years, and then followed that up by winning the whole dang thing the next two seasons.


Some early accomplishments on the tennis courts for the Trojans as Nick Crystal was named Pac-12 Player of the Week Monday. The sophomore is now 14-3 overall in singles play this season.


Jack Wang ponders whether or not UCLA will produce another first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Brett Hundley, Erick Kendricks and Owamagbe Odighizuwa have the potential to be chosen in the top 32.


It hasn’t been the smoothest of careers for him, but Utah quarterback Travis Wilson is on pace to break school records for all-time offense, completions and passing touchdowns.


Very solid gymnastics meet on The Farm Monday night, as No. 19 Stanford women’s gymnastics defeated No. 10 Oregon State 197.000-196.375 on the Pac-12 Networks.
