Softball Ranked No. 13 in Preseason Softball Poll

SEATTLE – Washington softball is ranked No. 13 in the Softball preseason poll released Tuesday morning.

The Huskies have been ranked in the top 25 of the ESPN/USA Softball poll in each of the past 13 years since the poll debuted in 2003. Last week, the Huskies were ranked No. 11 in the USA Today/NFCA preseason poll.

The Huskies return seven letterwinners from last year’s team, which went 37-15 and made their sixth consecutive Super Regionals appearance. The returning players include All-American Kylee Lahners and All-Pacific Region recipient Ali Aguilar.

The Huskies will open the 2015 season at the UNLV/Sportco Kick-Off Classic on Friday, February 6 vs. CSU-Bakersfield and Minnesota in Las Vegas, Nev. Minnesota is ranked No. 15 in both the NFCA preseason poll and ESPN/USA Softball preseason poll.
