OREGON STATE TAKES OVER TOP SPOT IN THE CONFERENCE STANDINGS

7/7 OREGON STATE, with its best AP ranking in school-history, is a perfect 8-0 in the Pac-12, while 11/11ARIZONA STATE and 12/15 STANFORD are nipping at their high-tops one game back in the Pac-12 standings. In the marquee matchup last week, Oregon State swept through Arizona, including a top-15 win over fellow undefeated, Arizona State, on Sunday, 68-57 paced by a 23-4 run. OSU has now won eight straight. ASU had comeback to defeat Oregon on Friday, while OSU opened up their trip to the Desert with a .530 clip at Arizona.

Stanford, which swept past USC and UCLA in Los Angeles last week, closed out its road trip by shooting .500 at USC’s Galen Center. CALIFORNIA is two games back in the standings and have now won three-straight, also sweeping past its Southern California rivals last week. WASHINGTON picked up its first Pac-12 sweep of the season, winning over Colorado and Utah. WASHINGTON STATE also took down Colorado and Utah despite shooting 35 percent or worse in each of its two wins last week.

This week Washington and Washington State can move up in the standings with key games at California and Stanford. Stanford and Cal are each 8-2 at home this season. Oregon State and Oregon will host USC and UCLA. OSU is a perfect 8-0 at home this season. Oregon, which has dropped six-straight, is 6-5 at home compared to a 2-6 record away from Eugene. Both Southern California schools have winning records on the road. Arizona State and Arizona travel to Colorado and Utah starting the Pac-12 week on Friday.
